What's New with Mathew Cummings and James Whidden

Captain Sutton House Reconstruction starts Wednesday, November 28, 2007
At Noon, Jim Whidden will oversee the raising of the first "bent" (two posts and a beam that he pre-assembled) using traditional 17th-century methods (poles and strong men!). Jim has spent much of the summer and fall de-constructing the house, restoring the pieces at his 800-square-foot woodworking shop in Ashburnham, Mass., and he will spend the next few weeks reconstructing this 17th-century building on its new site (not far from the old one). Mat Cummings, the architect for the project, will also be there. His work to build a new addition where the older building once stood has already begun. Please come watch the fun!

Mat and Jim's program "Restoring Your Old House" is a big hit in Danvers
