Soucy Insurance Agency, Inc. was founded in 1907 by François X. Voyer, the great-grandfather of Paul K. Soucy, the current president of the agency. Voyer called the company "Francis X. Voyer, Real Estate and Fire Insurance." By 1911, Voyer had moved the office to Washington Street in Salem, Mass., the central business district. In the photograph on the left, you can just make out the sign for "F. X. Voyer." The photograph on the right shows the Soucy Insurance Agency's storefront today--at 201 Washington Street, just a block from the company's earlier location.
